Worship Pastor Shaun Dickerson
Shaun and Tammy Dickerson were married on September 2, 1989 have been in full time ministry since 1991. They began ministering at Teen Challenge of the Midlands to older teens and adults with life controlling problems. It was here that Shaun prayed to the Lord that if he would gift him with the ability to play guitar and sing, he would use that talent for His kingdom. Since that time and currently, it remains that music/worship has been a thrust of Shaun's ministry.
While at Teen Challenge Tammy was a counselor to women students, worked in the main office and in the quilting ministry. She is also a full-time mother and wife.
God began stirring in the beginning of 1995 that a time to move was coming, that was confirmed when Shaun's home church in Oskaloosa, IA extended an invitation to be there youth pastor for a time. After many years of ministering to the church body through churches the Lord moved Joe and Caroline to ask if they would consider/be interested in the possibility of pioneering a church in Lebanon. They replied that they would, and began to take steps towards this goal.
Shaun currently serves as the worship pastor at Cross Creek. He is also the Director of the Pregnancy Support Center. His directorial and ministerial duties include going into the schools and teaching the Abstinence 'til Marriage program. He continues to operate his lawn business throughout the summer months.
Tammy has recently graduated nursing school with honors, and is fulfilling her calling by ministering to the sick in the hospital. She welcomes every opportunity to pray with those she tends to, and to share her faith. God uses her gifts mightily in this setting. She continues to be a full-time mother and wife.
Shaun and Tammy have three children: Daughters, Tandee and Danika and son, Tory. Tory and his father fight for equal rights in a household dominated by women.
Shaun and Tammy look forward to the things that God is doing and going to be doing at Cross Creek.
